Join us at Heads & Tales Bookstore for an evening with author Kimberley Allsopp to celebrate her new, grown-up love story Rise and Shine. Kimberley will be joined in-conversation by Stephanie Carson (aka @stephanieshouseofbooks), host of Cool People Reading podcast.

Rise and Shine is a charming, wryly funny, poignant and original novel about what happens 10 years into a marriage, when someone wants out. It's also a story about hope, baking, making music, lemon trees, painting, love, divorce, dogs, the families we create for ourselves, and the heat of the Brisbane sun.

Kimberley Allsopp has had her work appear in Kidspot, The Sunday Telegraph and WHIMN (now Body & Soul) and she co-hosts the rom-com podcast, Meet Cute, which allows her to justify some of her otherwise questionable life choices. Her first novel, Love & Other Puzzles was published by HarperCollins in 2022. Kimberley has worked in bookselling and publishing since 2008, and lives in Brisbane with her partner and two daughters.
