Join us for an evening with two legendary sporting journalists, Toby Prime and Ian Cover, as they discuss Toby’s new book Famous Flags: Great Local Grand Finals.

Grand finals – regardless of the level – generate unmatched emotion. The passion is equal, perhaps greater, than that seen on the final Saturday in September on the MCG. Famous Flags is a collection of stories from around Victoria: from the chaotic and controversial, such as the infamous 1990 Ovens & Murray “bloodbath”, to the inspiring and uplifting, such as Kinglake overcoming the devastation of Black Saturday to make the grand final that same year. 

Following the conversation between Toby and Ian, guests will be served individual beef pot pies and a complimentary drink to continue talking footy.

This event will be hosted at the Barwon Heads Golf Club and is open for booking for members and their guests.
